Oh yea, loads, Led Zep, Deep Purple, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Elton, ABBA, The Brighouse & Rastrick Brass Band...........all the greats!
I record them onto the computer using Nero, convert them to mp3 format with Adobe Audition then load them onto my mp3 player or burn them to a CD for playing in the car - or wherever.

That sounds so cool. I've heard record albums sound almost as good as cd's, or ever better.

Btw, I like Led Zeppelin and Heart!

awwww... I was living in Sweden as a youngen when ABBA was big.  Thanks for all the memories!! (and YES, they are retro)

My wife and I dated when "Take A Chance On Me" came out by Erasure!
(I always wondered why Erasure didn't cover "Dancing Queen".  Seemed like a natural fit to me   )

Retro...shmetro...

Think of it this way, Napper.  My mother told me about all of the wonderful songs that she grew up on, but those songs did not really carry over into my teenhood.  When I was growing up the radio airwaves became consumed with the most wonderful music that (I'm convinced) there ever was and probably ever will be.  It's still easy enough to find the kind of music that you guys have been discussing on the radio.  My kids grew up loving performers like Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Doors and Led Zeppelin.  If people want to call it retro, fine.  That doesn't change how good it is.

Retro...shmetro...

Have you ever seen some of these retro performers in concert?

I saw Ringo Starr and his All Star Band with Peter Frampton and Jack Bruce a few years ago and those guys kicked @ss!  It was the best concert I'd ever been to.  They did a dynamite version of Sunshine of Your Love that lasted for hours, well.....several minutes anyway, and the crowd was blown away!

Peter Frampton had a leisure suit on, I swear, but he could still make his guitar talk.

Let them call it whatever they want to....s'all good.Image
