OK, I know you probably don't know to many things about Romania. That's why I will try to show you some images with Bucharest (my town) and Romania.
Between the 2 WW, Bucharest was called "little Paris" because of it's elegance, glamour, fashion, etc.
I have a small collection of pictures (old ones and new ones) with Bucharest. I tried to put them together (old and new) so I will show you how Bucharest was before second WW and now.
I tried to make the new pictures as much as I could from the same place as the old ones.
If I don't go to sleep now,

(I will wake up very early in the morning because somebody has to wake up my son, to send him out in the cold wether

to the swimming pool

) maybe I'll put them this evening. If not, first thing in the morning.
(Btw, now it is 22,40 in Bucharest)

Thank you for showing us around your beautiful city, Breeze.

I would love to know if, in the first two pictures of Magheru Street, the soldiers sitting down at the cafe in the second photo are the same ones walking along in the first.

It is always so much more interesting to visit a place with a 'native' to show you around.

Cerina, I really don't know

the pictures are from 1930-1940 :D (the old ones) maybe they walked a little and being tired they decided to have a coffee.

I will show you more pictures (new ones from now on)

Bucharest is a mixture of old and new town.
Usually we make hundreds of pictures every where we go. And I like very much to share them.
I have a question for those who can give me an answer. How is more convenient for the forum, (I mean for the space), to put the pictures from now on? As I put them here, or using the attachment?

Great pictures Breeze, intresting also. I'm not the one to say, but I rather suspect Admin would rather you post the big ones like these as attachments. Some people still have "dial-up" and it takes ages for them to load. Anyway, someone will get back to you about your question...

Thank you once again for your help, Dirtzinert, I'm sure it is better like that. First I was not sure about how to use the attachments and it was easier for me to use photobuket.

I remember admin saying for signatures to keep them under 32KB, so I would assume that it would be the same for regular pictures. Refer to this post if needed, http://www.bitoffun.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7508
Your pictures are between 30KB and 48KB, so I would think that would be fine, but like Dirtz said, admin may be more helpful in this area.

Awesome pics breeze your city is very beautiful, so many amazing buildings. I really like the “Bucharest this winter” ones, very nice.

Oh yer load time is extremely painful on dial up but it’s worth it. :lol:
