I wanted to find a name I would remember (as opposed to all the other passwords and usernames I've had over the years) and a name that was unlike any of the ones I had used before. My mom passed away earlier this year after a very long illness and bugabo was the pet name she had for me as a baby. I had forgotten about it until I was checking out bit of fun. So it's sort of a new beginning for me, which seems to go with other things in my life right now.

Postby hanga7e » 03 Jul 09, 5:30 pm

Heya beautiful people :D

Just curious how everyone got their BoF forum names? Any special meanings?

Mine hanga7e.. it's actually hangale, hangale is a red little flower that grows wild and exclusively at the beaches of the western side of the island of Tonga (where my mom is from) .. why did i spell it with a 7 you wonder? LOL it was a typo.. i was drunk when i found and registered at BoF

As I am a night owl and love to write poetry, I thought the name Mid_Nite_Poet was appropriate. :)

We all were!! :lmao: :lmao:

And when we sobered up, we couldn't think of one single reason to leave!

My name came about when I joined here, I racked my brains trying to think of yet another username until it gave me a pain in the napper. (Napper being local slang for "head".)

Mine is one of my middle names.

I hope you don't mind, Hanga, but I merged your thread with one that already existed so you can see how some of the others got their names as well.

p.s. I think Hangale is really pretty. Is the 'e' on the end pronounced?

oooooo :o thanks cerina! i'm glad you merged it.. it's nice to see how everyone got their names  and the e is not silent.. the pronounceation is strange.. cos of the "ng".. most people have a difficult time pronouncing the name and end up calling me hale

thanks for sharing everyone
