isnt it strange READ READ READ

1. Isn't it strange how a 20 dollar bill seems like such a large amount when
you donate it to church, but such a small amount when you go shopping?

2. Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long when you're at church, and how
short they seem when you're watching a good movie?

3. Isn't it strange that you can't find a word to say when you're praying,
but you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend?

4. Isn't it strange how difficult and boring it is to read one chapter of the
Bible, but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular novel or ZANE GREY book?

5. Isn't it strange how everyone wants front-row-tickets to concerts or games, but
they do whatever is possible to sit at the last row in Church?

6. Isn't it strange how we need to know about an event for Church 2-3 weeks before
the day so we can include it in our agenda, but we can adjust it for other events at
the last minute?

7. Isn't it strange how difficult it is to learn a fact about God to share it with others,
but how easy it is to learn, understand, extend and repeat gossip?

8. Isn't it strange how we believe everything that magazines and newspapers say,
but we question the words in the Bible?

9. Isn't it strange how everyone wants a place in heaven, but they don't want to
believe, do, or say anything to get there?

10. Isn't it strange how we send jokes in e-mails and they are forwarded right away,
but when we are going to send messages about God, we think about it twice before
we share it with others?

IT'S STRANGE ISN'T IT?

sorry, the truth is it out.

I'm not a big fan of religion or Christmas. Both fairly pointless IMO.

I'll help make up for your lack of spirit. Name any other holiday that you can kiss another woman (other than your wife) just because she is standing under a twig of green stuff, and get away with it. Are you with me on this one Dirtzinert :D

I have no-one to kiss. :(

Its ironic that I have over 300 online friends, but very few real life ones. :(

Blanace is needed - Some suggestions based on how I have met friends in the past.

Volunter at a charity (one you like and believe in)
Take an art class
Go to a convention (you are in to gamming)
Join a Gym

I see an obvious answer to this, but I'm too polite to say. I think it starts with an F and ends in a UCK OFF. :D

I used to go to a gym, but I have my own training gear at home now. Its not that I'm a social misfit or anything. I don't need help making friends, I just don't really have any f 2 f friends right now. Its hard me to meet people I have something in common with.

I know you meant well, but lets just forget I mentioned it, before I feel worse about being alone for Christmas. :(

I'm tempted not to post this, but what the hell, I've posted worse things.

Yep, the only others that I can think of are 12:00 on new Years eve, and my birthday!

I think it's strange because we like to spend our time doing stuff that are productive. Partying and hanging out with friends tend to be more interesting than to sit in church for two hours. (Shhh, you didn't hear that from me). But you know, $20 does seem like a large amount when we have to donate, but in all honesty, what can we really buy for $20 these days?

Quite an interesting post, by the way. I actually read the whole thing.

That is interesting. I really don't enjoy church. I think it is boring. I know that I shouldn't, but yeah... as for reading the Bible... Its a great read. Really... even if you only read it as a piece of literature and not for its message.
I have a liberal arts degree. Would you like fries with that?

I'm not reading the St. James Version, but I'm not sure which books weren't actually in that one. I'll have to do some research. :)
