'The Outer Limits' 1963-65:

I'm a massive affectionairdo of the black & white, sci-fi: 'The Outer Limits' television show of 1963-65.I have all 49 episodes on 2 x dvd boxed sets.I am working my way through them & only have a dozen left that I haven't watched yet.It first aired regularly in the U.S. on: 'ABC' tv network on Monday nights 7:30-8:30 pm.
I don't know if you are a fan? but have a butchers at these video clips to see if you like 'em!.
I know I have a 'You Tube Nostalgia' section but I think you'll agree that these video clips are sufficiently 'weird' to qualify for this topic section. They only give you a taste of the full one hour episodes which have very complex stories often quite touching with a moral twist at the end.
Okay....here we go then with an intro clip:  :hiding: :D

Unfortunately my favourite episode: 'The Chameleon' has not been loaded up onto 'YouTube'.First shown on Monday 27th April 1964.
I won't spoil it should you ever get to see it,by posting a full summary of it but it stars Robert Duvall who is like a lost soul mercenary who is contacted by the government to infultrate an alien rocket ship. :)

I use to lose lots of sleep after watching the Outer Limits. Not sure if it was the show or the background music that got to me the most. Image

The music to the show was particularly creepy & atmospheric!.Composed by Dominic Frontiere. The original l.p. soundtrack fetches serious money.I've read that it scared the heebie-jeebies out of a generation of kids in the 1960s & when it was re-shown in the 1970s.It was frightening to me when I watched them late at night on BBC1 in the late 1970s-early 1980s.
I can't imagine how the network saw fit to show it at 7:30 in the evenings back in 1963-1965?.
