i hope this is in the right place but it says spooky in the descripting thing.

i watched the ring a couple of nights ago with my gf. it was scary as hell but we had a disagreement about the end.

i think that the woman was safe because the evil girl wanted everyone to know about her so the copy worked but my gf thinks that because she saved the girl from being restless in the well the woman was saved.

could someone who has seen the film sort this out please?

and you can all discuss the film if u want so it isnt out of place.

First time I watched it I was scared out of my wits. Second time I found myself laughing.

I think she was safe. Though it turns out that's not what Samara wanted.
I havnt seen the second film, but it's mostly explained in that.
