This is very weird, but there's gas coming out of my water pipe...And it smells kind of like the gas that comes out of a lighter...

Use distilled water in your water pipe and refrigerate between uses to keep bacteria down. Grow your own to be sure unscrupulous dealers are not fortifing poor quality smoking material which could be the source of the odor.

Fill the sink with water then get a rubber pipe and attach one end to the tap. Put the other end under the water and use an upturned jam jar to collect the gas. Put the lid on the jar while it's submerged. Go outside. Now soak a rag in lighter fluid and tie it around the neck of the jar. Light the rag and smash the jar on the pavement.
If it explodes in a fireball which soars into the air and causes flaming fragments of cloth to rain down everywhere within a two meter radius, setting fire to all it touches, you've got gas coming out of your tap.

Well, he said everything is ok ( )and that if there was a gas (the gas was gone today ) it was probably an earth gas and in small concentrations sometimes circles the pipes when the pressure in the pipes isn't normal. (Cause for that could be repairs on the streets or my neighbors are repairing something...)
