£1,700 nightcap
A cognac produced during the French revolution is said to be the most expensive drink on sale in Britain.
The 1790 bottle of cognac is behind the bar at The Lanesborough in London, reports the Mirror.
One glass would set you back a cool £1,700.
The brandy was produced three years before Louis XVI was beheaded.
One guest of the upmarket hotel said: "I asked for something special to round off a good night.
"There were four of us so a round would have cost almost £7,000. We settled for a cheaper one!"
