As I understood it, Medicare would pick up the tab for those who couldn't afford insurance or had been refused for some reason, not that it would cover everyone.





And DB ... why did you need to hire a boat for an MRI scan? :scratch:

In case anyone is still interested - under the new watered down version of healthcare

Beneficiaries must cover the full cost of their medications even while they continue to pay premiums. In 2010, this occurs when the total costs of a beneficiary's prescription drugs reaches $2,830. The co-payments required for brand-name and generic drugs will be phased down to 25 percent by 2020

So, if you need any anti-virals, anti-cancer drugs or a million other medications that cost more than a few cents, you are going to have to pay the full cost? That will increase the bankruptcy/death rates. :roll:

We already have a generation of children who are likely to die before their parents and the insurance companies seem hell bent on exacerbating that.
