India is compelled to accept British aid. Why would you want to send aid to a country that says they don't need it. Surely there are projects at home that need funding.

There has been a lot of discussion about this recently, as you can imagine, and the government are having a hard time justifying giving so much to a country which has almost twice as many billionaires as the UK.
