Man in Santa Suit Robs Texas Bank

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Santa Claus came to town, and he left with an undisclosed amount of cash. A man dressed as Old St. Nick walked into a Wachovia Bank in this Dallas suburb early Tuesday and told the teller he had a gun. No weapon was produced, and no one was injured in the heist.

Instead of a sleigh, he fled in a gray or silver car.

A description of the man, more than 6 feet tall and weighing about 230 pounds, didn't exactly match the best known resident of the North Pole.

He had a "muscular build," dark hair and brown eyes, according to police.

Instead of a white beard, the would-be Kris Kringle sported a 5 o'clock shadow.

He was wearing a red Santa jacket with white fur around the wrists and collar and black buttons, khaki pants and white tennis shoes. He had the matching hat - red with the fur brim.

During the robbery, he pulled the Santa hat over his eyes and looked out through two holes cut into the hat.
