President Bush admits the truth

Postby [N0M3RCY] M4TR1XM4N » 17 Dec 05, 4:50 pm

President Bush was today forced to admit the existence of a secret survelliance group that tap telephone lines of suspected terrorists, which means just about anyone can have their phone tapped from now on without them ever knowing about it. Don't say I didn't warn you.      :o

Even when he finally tells the truth, you still get the feeling he is lying.

Well, let's just say that when he admits the truth, he's probably not giving the full picture. And while doing that, he's gaining excuse to smother a whole lot of other truths.

You might be right. Apparently he was none to happy that these details are out in the public domain now. I'm not suprised, I would want to keep that a secret too. I have to wonder what else he keeps to himself.

Do you think he keeps things to himself or is it that he just doesn't get told things by his puppeteers?

That is good question. I can't say for sure, but, he is the President, I imagine every important detail has to be seen by him. I could be wrong though.

The trouble is that most of the rest of the world see the people who believe Fox News is real and that the elections were fair and honest, and think that most Americans support Bush. It is only those of us who look for our news beyond the mundane that have any idea of what is really going on and the opinions of the majority of US citizens.

Let's just say that those who support Bush are as ignorant as those who think that we support Bush.

While I agree with the basis of your argument, too many people only form opinions from what they are fed through television and the tabloid press, and it is that which makes them ignorant.

Sadly, that is true, but it is not restricted to the US, although the Patriot Act has certainly made it a risky place to live. If your present government have their way, it could end up like the communist block was until recently where you had to be careful what you said to anyone, even members of your own family, for fear of it being reported to the authorities.

1984 anybody?

I hope it'll never get so far, because if it does, we're certainly doomed.

I personally think we are already living in a 1984 type situation, but its kept subtle so most people don't know what is going on.

Apparently the NSA and Congress were responsible for the phone/email tapping or so I heard. Don't ask me why I'm commenting on U.S events, when I should be talking about UK events, considering I live in the UK. :?

A cycnical person might suggest that the war on Iraqi is just an excuse to secure the oil pipelines for the U.S. After all the U.S is one of the biggest consumers of oil in the world.............. :?

Do not forget that just before the bushies started this war, Sadam was going to change to the euro and stop using the dollar with the oil trade... and now Iran is stating they are going to start using the euro... Makes me wonder how fast we will occupy Iran now...

You can never trust what comes out of the white house... it is bazaaro land when it comes to them -- up means down, no means yes, truth are lies, etc... there is always something they are looking to take the light off of and I think it is big considering bushyboy gave so many speeches in such a small time.

Some British politicians have been pushing for the Euro to replace the British Pound, but most people have resisted strongly and I have to agree, why bother changing something that works well as it is? :?

Whatever they plan to do with Iran now, we're not really sure. But they're surely up to no good. I mean the administration in D.C.

I think there were many reasons for the US pushed so hard to invade Iraq, and oil is not the only reason because they actually imported quite a small percentage of their consumption from there. One reason, I think, was vanity, and Baby Bush needing to prove to Daddy Bush that he could actually complete something, unlike all his other ventures, which have ended in some of his rich buddies having to bail him out. Sounds like a repeating story, doesn't it? Althought this time, it was too big to be hushed up and covered over as the whole world is involved to some extent.
It is ironic that his stated reasons for invasion i.e. WMD and to save the world from terrorism have both backfired, especially when you realise the the US military is the biggest hoarder of WMD and that the incidents of terrorism have increased manifold since invasion.
9/11 had nothing to do with Iraq, and ousting Saddam has destabilised the whole of the middle east, not the mention the rest of the world, but never let it be said that GWB let the truth get in the way of a good war!
