Dee was suing for defamation after being labelled the ‘worst' in the Daily Telegraph.

The Telegraph proved that he was, by pointing to his record of 54 consecutive defeats, during which he didn't win a set. They went on to show that games he had won were meaningless matches in Spain against people like his postman. The court ruled that, looking at the stats, Dee was sure enough the worst-performing pro we have.

So rather than pursue this legal battle, Dee should copyright that ‘Worst Player in Tennis' mantle and run with it. He could give coaching to kids hoping to be bad tennis players. He could do a merchandise deal with people making sub-standard rackets. A court case was lost this week, but out of its ashes, a new star could be born.
