Thanks for that, Marts. I use Spybot and have also recently started using Malwarebytes which is excellent. It got rid of a virus that none of the others picked up.

My recommendation would be:

(1) Avira AV (free)

(20) Comodo firewall (free)

(3) MalwareBytes (free)

(4) Superantispyware (free)

Together with Firefox and the NoScript addon.

I recommend Wilders Security forum as good reading when it comes to anti-virus/firewall/malware. http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=32 They seem to stay on top of things - and there is a lot of crap out there

a bit dated but http://www.av-comparatives.org/images/s ... nce08a.pdf

At the end of the day, it's what suits the individual. If you're happy with what you have, stay with it. They eventually all tend to become bloated, as is the case with Norton and AVG etc...................... ;)
