You can clean silver using toothpaste, or better cigarette ashes.

Withered flowers will be again beautiful if you put an aspirin in their water. Withered roses wil come to life again if you cut a little their stalk and keep it few minutes in hot water and again in cold water.

Cigarette ash [made into a paste with water] or toothpaste can also be used as a "rubbing compound" to remove superficial paint scuffs from automobile paint [as when someone rubs a door on your car, say in a parking lot]. But use carefully -- modern clearcoats can be dulled using this technique.

Freshener sheets for the dryer can be placed in the car for improving stale air.

When replacing a used shower-curtain liner, using a razor blade or scissors, carefully remove the magnets at the bottom of the liner [usually three]. These can then be used to secure papers, coupons, pictures , etc. to refrigerators, file cabinets, tool boxes, or what-have-you. Be sure to keep them away from television sets and computer monitors, and magnetic media [tapes, floppy disks].

If you break a glass in many small pieces use a wet cotton wool to collect them.

Always use cold water when you wash cristal.

If you have chalk-stone on pots and you don't have special products boil potatoes peels or vinegar.

I always knew there had to be a use for all my cigarette ash. Image

Tulips will keep looking perky and fresh if you make a pin hole in the stem immediately under the head.

Another way of picking up small pieces of glass is to use a piece of bread.

Don't you hate that runny, low-fat yoghurt?

Take my tip and thicken it up by stirring in a spoonful of lard.
