Hello From ET Girl!

Hi, everybody! I'm ET Girl. I just discovered this site today. I am pretty impressed , and so I've decided to sign up right away! I love the look of the forum...and it's obviously a pretty fun place with some interesting ideals. That's just as well. Finding a forum called a "Bit Of Fun", and then finding out that it's no fun whatsoever would be pretty disappointing to say the least. I'm not disappointed, though.

In case you haven't guessed already, this will probably be a very long intro' post...anyhooo, I guess I should say a little BIT about me. I am an enormous music fan. I will listen to music from different eras, even though I'm supposed to be a part of the Hilary Fluff, Flirtney Spears generation. I have discovered all kinds of artists/groups from ABBA to the Beatles, Pink Floyd, 'Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac..1960's 1970's disco, pop, rock and all the way up through the 1980's etc... I am a huge Alanis Morissette fan as well! Oh, and one thing I really can't stand is tv! I honestly don't understand what all the fuss is about. I'd rather read or go online...maybe write something or just DO something..rather than just sit there waiting to be entertained by mind-numbingly dull sitcoms or whatever!

I have begun writing poetry and songs recently. I actually started out by posting song parodies online. I call them "Parrot-Ditties". I think they're good practice. I am just beginning to try writing short stories, but they're more like skits or run-on-sentences, to be honest. I am really a beginner at all of that, but I enjoy it. I actually, to be perfectly honest, am a bit of an odd poster at times. Many forums absolutely do not like the practice of going "Off Topic"...which is something I'm in the habit of doing...pretty often. But I'll control myself here if that's nesessary...as painful as it might be for me. ** Weeps **

Anyways, I like to think that I have a good sense of humor, and an opinion about all kinds of things. What else? I just think that having a sense of humor is a good thing. I'm sure there are lot's of benefits that come with being crabby, humorless, and basically miserable...i have no clue what they might be...

I'm glad to be here posting my first...ummm...post in the post-message-box-area-whatchamacallit.

I hope I can contribute something worthwhile here at Bit Of Fun.

Btw, if a website called itself "No Fun At All"...I think it would last about a week. Just a guess..

Sting, I've read some of the poetry and different ideals here and there is some impressive talent on this forum. I hope to add something worthwhile, as I said before. There's a lot of posts to read through so I'd better get busy.

I'm in HEAVEN! Thanks for pointing that out to me. I have a whole bunch of song parody lyrics that I've written. They're fun to do, but I haven't actually made actual recordings out of them. One of my personal fav's is based on a song I really love by Heart called : "Dog And Butterfly". My version's called :"Frog Ends Butterfried". It's about going to a restaurant and being served Kermit the Frog as the main dish. I just like making them up about whatever comes to mind. Is there a place I could post one or two on the forum if I do write them here?

They're really good. Esp' when they don't turn out burnt. Which I've never been able to do, unfortunetely. I also have a recipe for chocolate cake that I've posted before.. maybe I'll post it again here at BOF.
