Howdy ya'll,
I've been lurkin here for a couple of months now. Decided to go ahead and sign up. Anyway, a little about me... Married to wonderful wife of 9 years, two great kids in their upper teens, great job (usually). When the jobs gets tough, I find myself here to lighten my mood. I love to cook, mianly BBQ. Like to grill but Im more into the low and slow long cooks. I fly a RC blimp for professional hockey team as well as RC planes for myself. Prefer the outdoors, fishing, hunting, or just enjoying nature. Cept for here lately since it's been 115 outside for 2 months and we haven't seen rain since August of last year. Well, that's pretty much me. Thanks for the great site and havin me.

If you had shown me a hockey puck when I was growing up I'd thought it was for shooting practice

Jack - Most of the hockey pucks that come home end up chew toys for the dog, and yes brisket is my main cook for big parties along with babybacks and homemade sausage.

Cerina - You have an open invite to any BBQ here Everytime I smell the smoke from the neighbors I start to feel like I'm neglecting my cookers

DB - I actually have thought about trying to lay out some cookie dough on the dashboard while at work to see if they would be ready when I get out at 5:00

Lonestar - thanks but I would not want the heat that we have all had with the humidity ya'll have. Since I moved out here, I have found out what they mean when they say, "But it's a DRY heat..."
