Some forums do tend to give you some quite sterile feedback sometimes. Then again, it's better than being covered in honey, woven into a wicker man and burned as a sacrifice to the Pagan gods. We only do that on a leap year now, anyway.

With the board theme, there's also a less dazzling skin which you can select from the user control panel. Though if you're pleased by pretty colours, the default skin is the one for you.

Anyhoo, welcome again to BoF, and feel free to jump right into the community.

mmmm crumpets!!! I love me crumpets!

Hi I'm Vix, originally from Newastle Upon Tyne, now based in Wales, where next I wonder! My husband is from Hull, so I've been up to Yorkshire so many times. I love that Lavendar farm and would love to go back again one day.

The only thing I miss from newcastle is the good old stottie bread and pease pudding. Can't get that anywhere in Wales  Well, Asda did sell stottie, but not THE stottie if you know what I mean. Pease pudding here comes from tins! :puke: I've learnt how to make my own, hee hee. :wav:

This site has to be the most friendliest site i've come across, the other forum I belonged to (a paranormal site) was okay, but not very good making a space within the group for new members to jump right in, very clannish.

Welcome aboard and enjoy all there is here, shout up if you need anything, we all would bend over backwards to help out. (anything to put Cerina and MNP's backs out! :lmao: :lmao: )

Only kidding,

Vix

yep that's the one, we had our first lavendar scone with strawberry jam and clotted yorkshire cream. We loved it so much that we made it for our wedding, everyone loved it and asked us for the recipe. At the time, our house didn't have a garden so it wasn't worth buying them lavendars. We moved to a house with a garden, and two of our lavendars got eaten by our rabbits! will have to go back and get some more, the variety there you can't get anywhere else here!
