Joe Barton's apology to BP provided more fodder for Stewart and "The Daily Show". During last night's show, Stewart also noted that the Republican Committee, endorsed the talking point that Obama was extorting a private industry. Stewart then pointed out that Republicans are now distancing themselves from Barton's "shakedown" statements despite opposing the fund.
