Macaques love to get into things and in southern India when a peddler leaves a fruit cart unattended these wild macaques pounce on like hungry ants at a picnic.

Anything they find edible that's not nailed down they will grab, and if they can pry it up, it's not nailed down. Macaques are not afraid to raid homes in search of food and if they get in its pure mayhem.

They are so destructive that the Forest Service relocates them from the city to faraway forests. Even in the forests they get into trouble in this case they raided pots of fermenting fruit used to make beverages.

It speculated that their taste for alcohol developed from eating fruit that fermented on the forest floor.
